MY COVER REVEAL!!!

One of my favorite things about publishing is all the SURPRISES! Like today, there I am, working out (read: suffering greatly) in my basement, and all of a sudden my phone chimes. New Tumblr post from one of my friends! I figured it was just someone posting The Dragon Prince fan art (which is what I live for right now tbh) but I opened it up anyway because, I dunno, I just did.

And I screamed.

And immediately stopped working out.

So I could write this post.

Because AAHHHHHH!!!!!

Okay... so the story of this cover was just surprises from start to finish. First, I got an email from my editor, with pictures attached, asking if I liked the artwork because they were considering asking this artist to do my cover. The pictures they showed me. were. GORGEOUS. And uhh one of them was THIS ONE. And since I am obsessed with BotW and have been since it came out, I was like YES THIS PERSON IS THE ONE.

This person is Jeff Langevin and his art is amazing and you should go look at it and buy it so you can hang it on your wall and look at it even more.

So I said "Yes, I would very much like this person to do my artwork." And then radio silence for a couple weeks. I didn't know whether Jeff would be able to do it, so I just fidgeted and checked my email 10 times an hour (like you do).

And then.

I got.

Preliminary artwork.

I'm going to save my preliminary art for another post, I think. This one is just about the absolutely perfect, incredible, beautiful, amazing, breathtaking, sob-inducing final cover.

So, with only a little bit more ado... HERE IS MY COVER!!
